Well today I took Dakoda to her pre-op appointment and everything is on schedule. Tomorrow is the big day, bright and early at 7am! I will take her in first thing in the morning. She is actually excited about it. The doctor explained the procedure to her and she is okay for the moment. I am sure everything will go fine.
I did all my school work for the unit so I don't have to worry about it tomorrow and I can focus on taking care of my Dakoda and her sister. Jazmine has tonsilitis but she is on antibiotics and Dakoda has been on antibiotics since last week, so its all good. I hope everyone had a great Valentines day!

  1. Oh Stacy, You have your hands full! My daughter has had an ear infection, in one or both ears, since before Halloween! I took her to an ENT doc today and we hav an appointment Friday to get tubes put in her ears. Poor baby :( She was having a hard time hearing over the weekend. I know it will be better after the surgery, but it makes me a nervous wreck thinking about it!!

  2. Hi Stacy:

Hope all went well for Dakoda. Is she feeling any better, and how are you doing? I hope that everything is okay and I hope that Jazmine will be feeling better soon. Hope to see you in class, if not I understand.

  3. Hi Stacy,

I hope Dakoda is resting nicely and you are not too stressed.

My granddaughter had asthma until we put her on a restrictive diet, no MSG, no high fructose corn syrup and no yellow 5. She is doing very well. No coughing spells unless she gets around second hand smoke.

Oh, and they have her blow up balloons every day. She hates that, right? :- ) She is 7.

  4. Thanks for your concern!
Amy, both Koda and Jazmine have tubes in their ears and it has been a miracle. Koda had a speech delay because of ear infections, but she is doing awesome now. We did Jazmines ears before they could effect her speech. The benefits are so worth it.
Sharon, Koda is doing great. She is hurting alittle and she is starving because she can only have full liquids till tomorrow. Jazmine is doing better too. David is the only healthy one and I am glad of that because he can't have antibiotics, so I try to quarantine him when anyone is sick.
Professor, I am mostly tired from staying up all night with the girls but I will survive:) I have never thought of diet as being a cause of asthma. That is really interesting. I will definitely talk to the doctor about this. She is taking singular for her asthma and she has a nebulizer, but if there is more I could do for her, I will most definitely do it. Thanks for the info.
